Solid State Variable Speed AC Electric Motor Control - 2.5 Max Amp, 115V

The control allows for infinite variable speed adjustments for shaded pole and PSC motors. It is important to ensure that the motor does not exceed the maximum amps indicated on the nameplate, as doing so can result in damage to both the control and the motor. To prevent stalling, the motor must be operated with enough torque, as a motor that does not turn properly can overheat and burn out. It is also essential to have a fan blade installed on the shaft (for direct drive) to cool the motor properly. This control is not suitable for use with gear motors and cannot be returned once installed. It is designed to fit a standard 2" x 4" electrical wall box and has a maximum amperage of 2.5 at 115 Volts, with UL and CSA approval. It is not compatible with Capacitor Start or Capacitor Run Motors. This control is ideal for applications such as fans, blowers, fireplace blowers, attic fans, humidifiers, and ventilators.
